The Fair Attempts

The Fair Attempts is a dystopian force in Industrial Rock, crafting anthems for the society we’re
unwittingly constructing around ourselves. Founded by Finnish artist and producer Timo
Haakana and his wife Starwing, the band merges raw, driving rhythms with haunting
melodies—exploring the human condition in a future where technology, control, and alienation
intertwine.

At the heart of The Fair Attempts lies a fully realized fictional universe, first imagined in
“Dreaming Your Dream,” a novel by Starwing. Each song is an echo from that world—a vision of
the society of our current trajectory, amplified through dystopian storytelling and emotionally
charged soundscapes. Themes of resistance, identity, and survival run deep, drawing listeners
into the shadowy streets, desolate ruins, and hidden sanctuaries of its lore.
